General Anthony Wayne's Regiment  #A270

"Mad" Anthony Wayne was perhaps one of the most colorful and successful generals of the war. At the start of the war he was a colonel of the 4th Pennsylvania Regiment, and led an ill fated venture to reinforce Benedict Arnold at Three Rivers, Canada. In 1777 Wayne was appointed to brigadier general. On the night of July 15, 1779 with a force of 1,500, Wayne made a daring raid across the mountains and with bayonets alone, captured 475 British prisoners at Stony Point.
